The Valley View Vikings came to Vernon this weekend and defeated the Fulton Maroon by a score of 12 - 7. It was a hard fought game, with Valley View overcoming a 7 - 6 halftime deficit to win the game.
Went to Mission Hill Park in Vernon last week to get photos of Sugar and her owner. What a beautiful park, and not too many people know about it. Sugar was the perfect model.
I finally made it to an official football game in Vernon. The Vernon Secondary Panthers were leading Kamloops 16 - 0 when I left in the first part of the fourth quarter.
Part of getting established in Vernon is entertaining friends and family. My wife Sylvia made a number of delicious desserts and we had our family and our neighbors over. Quite an enjoyable evening.
Several co-ed volleyball teams got together on Saturday morning, Aug. 15 at Vernon Seconday School to play in the 11th annual Cam Letawsky Memorial Volleyball Tournament. I was able to get shots of the good, the bad and the ugly moments.

Finally getting out into the Vernon community to shoot a few sports pictures. I have been amazed and pleased by the sports activity in Vernon. I knew this was a beautiful spot to live, just did not realize how active the community was.
