Valley View Defeats Fulton

The Valley View Vikings came to Vernon this weekend and defeated the Fulton Maroon by a score of 12 - 7. It was a hard fought game, with Valley View overcoming a 7 - 6 halftime deficit to win the game.

Sugar

Went to Mission Hill Park in Vernon last week to get photos of Sugar and her owner. What a beautiful park, and not too many people know about it. Sugar was the perfect model.

Vernon Vipers Hockey

FINALLY I made it to a hockey game with my camera. The Vernon Vipers played a Sunday matinee game today at 2:00.

I love hockey, always plenty of action and the lights shining off the ice make it easier to get good action shots.

Vernon Secondary Football 09

I finally made it to an official football game in Vernon. The Vernon Secondary Panthers were leading Kamloops 16 - 0 when I left in the first part of the fourth quarter.

Alan Milton from Kamloops was the Referee.

Lacrosse Tournament - Vernon BC

Driving home from church yesterday I spotted a lacrosse tournament at McDonald Park. Ran home and grabbed my camera. Plenty of action and excitement.

Vernon BC Football - First Weekend

Friday September 11, the only football game in town was a scrimmage between Vernon Secondary and Kalamalka Secondary.

Provincial Slow Pitch Softball Tournament

BC Provincial Slow Pitch Softball tournament in Vernon over the Labor Day weekend. Just had time to cover one game today. Lot's of excitement.

Chocolate Cheese Cake

Part of getting established in Vernon is entertaining friends and family. My wife Sylvia made a number of delicious desserts and we had our family and our neighbors over. Quite an enjoyable evening.

Cam Letawsky Memorial Volleyball Tournament

Several co-ed volleyball teams got together on Saturday morning, Aug. 15 at Vernon Seconday School to play in the 11th annual Cam Letawsky Memorial Volleyball Tournament. I was able to get shots of the good, the bad and the ugly moments.

Finally getting out into the Vernon community to shoot a few sports pictures. I have been amazed and pleased by the sports activity in Vernon. I knew this was a beautiful spot to live, just did not realize how active the community was.
